The Guinea Fowl Trophy, Braxted Park hosted by Sharon Bennett, Sunday 4th September

On a bright & warm day, 25 Fat Golfers & Guests took on the dry fairways but lush greens of the Braxted course. Sharon Bennett won the day with an impressive 45pts. 2nd with 40pts was Lee Lazarus on countback ahead of Bob McManus 3rd.

Our able & generous host, Sharon, presented the many NP prizes as follows: Mick Eaves NP 3rd, David Reading NP 5th, Lee Lazarus NP2 8th including 2 race pts, Karl McIlwain (Guest) NP 16th, John Dillon NP 17th, Heath Nugent ‘nearest the line’ 18th.

The high average top 10 score & “cut” was 40pts. With only two rounds to go at Colne Valley & Ufford Park, Sharon & Lee lead the field, with a few others still in contention, so an interesting finish to the season to come!
