2019 season start & committee meeting…

The 2019 season gets underway on Sunday 24th March at Hintlesham. Handicaps are per what’s on the website.

FCGC committee meeting Weds 20th March, key points:

FCGC will adhere to R&A golf rules 2019. Members should familiarise themselves with the rules per previous posts. Note the following rules…

• Putt with flag in is good to speed up play
• Drop from knee height
• 3 minutes ONLY to find ball
• Out of bounds/lost ball, drop on fairway with 2 stroke penalty to speed up play. Avoid return to location of previous shot (should have taken provisional)
• 40 seconds from reaching ball to playing the stroke
• FCGC rule: Card width gimme allowed. Please accept gimme and pick up, to speed up game. If you putt and miss, it counts!
• Ready golf: please do not be a slow player!
